West Australian Music (WAM) is launching an Industry advisory committee in 2026. This committee will allow for greater transparency for WAM along with meaningful input from across the contemporary music ecosystem to inform WAM’s activity, events and advocacy.
The committee will meet around 4 times per year, and broadly will:
- Advise WAM on trends, challenges and opportunities facing the contemporary music sector.
- Inform the design and evaluation of WAM’s programs, research, events and policy initiatives
- Be a consultation mechanism for WAM’s major event planning, including WA Music Week, WAM Awards & Song of the Year
- Assist in the development of WAM’s advocacy agenda, lobbying, election activity and priorities.
EOI’s will be assessed to ensure membership reflects a diverse range of individuals, experience and music practices.
