Ben Catley at Fishtrap Theatre

“A tour de force of contemporary acoustic guitar styles. A virtuoso guitarist.” – Xpress Music

Ben Catley pours every ounce of his soul into his live show. Having toured all across Australia, New Zealand and the UK many times over, he captivates audiences like few other solo artists and brings mesmerising acoustic guitar playing and an ecstatic stage presence to Mandurah’s Fishtrap Theatre on 16th May at 7.30pm.

Ben has performed at huge festivals across the world with the likes of The Doobie Brothers, John Butler, Xavier Rudd, Travis, Jessie J and many more. Around WA you may have seen him at festivals such as BLUESFEST Perth, Nannup Music Festival, Blues at Bridgetown, WA Guitar Festival, Fremantle Folk Festival, WAMFest and many more. He has also recently supported USA blues icon Walter Trout, released tracks featuring the voice of Wim Hof, and is often found performing with Si Mullumby, who is widely regarded as one of the world’s best didgeridoo players.

While mostly known for his high energy acoustic blues/roots/rock/folk style, Ben has also been releasing collections of atmospheric finger-style guitar instrumentals ‘Cloudcabins’, that he has now weaved into his live set, creating a diverse show of guitar craftsmanship.
