Applying for a grant? We’re here to help!

Are you about to embark on a new creative process? Are you writing new music or recording something incredible?

Or perhaps you’re looking to take the next steps in your career – releasing an album, creating merchandise or physical product for sale, recording a video clip, touring, or playing festivals?

It’s time to think about applying for funding from the DLGSC!

The latest projects funding round from the DLGSC has opened.

What does this mean? Well, if you’re planning a music project, you may be able to get up to $80,000 in funding to support it!

So what’s your next big project?

Look at the info below on what kind of things can be funded – and most importantly, how you can be paid to create music and further your career.
The deadlines for these grants are the 15th May 2025 for activities starting from September.

If this is your first time applying, you should definitely try to make the free Draft Reviewprovided by the DLSGC. The deadline for this is 29 April 2025 and is available only to first-time applicants.

If you need some assistance with your grant, such as looking over the grant, discussing your funding options available, or a letter of support – great news!

Our new Relationships & Partnerships Officer Maisie Glen is available to contact to help with all these things.

She’s available over the phone on 08 6156 1240 or at maisie@wam.org.au

Limited spots are available for higher levels of support, so we’d encourage you to get in early for a meeting.
