The music experts at RTRFM have handpicked twenty amazing local acts to play its iconic annual fundraiser In the Pines on Sunday 19 April.
Returning for its 33rd consecutive year in the lush and iconic surrounds of UWA’s Somerville Auditorium, In the Pines is the most important day of the year for any self-respecting music lover in Boorloo.
Twenty of the state’s best loved artists—including the established and the emerging—will play across two stages inside Somerville. Join us to witness this annual snapshot of Western Australian music, with acts including:
Anna Schneider // Clare Perrott // Cryptids // Emily Barker // Grievous Bodily Calm // Grub // Gunns // Halo of Teeth // Iconyx // Kallum Mungulu // Kayps // New Nausea // New Phono // PERSIA // Sarco // Showbag! // Streets of Separation // Symmetrical Dogs // Tchega // Walrus (Nicholas Allbrook & Friends)
In the Pines is a celebration of local music, bringing together some of the best talent from our town and sharing it with the people of Perth for one amazing day and night.
The event also raises essential funds for RTRFM, allowing the not-for-profit community station to keep platforming local arts and culture for another year.
In the Pines 2026 brings you some of the state’s most promising new acts, including Clare Perrott, PERSIA, Kayps, Cryptids and Iconyx, plus longtime faves Tchega, Symmetrical Dogs, Emily Barker, New Nausea and Anna Schneider.
We get a bit loud with Halo of Teeth, Streets of Separation and Grub, while making time to get a little nostalgic with Gunns (10 years on from their debut), Showbag!(returning with new music) and New Phono (known faces in a new band).
And we go large with station favourites Grievous Bodily Calm, Sarco, Kallum Mungulu and Nicholas Allbrook’s new project Walrus.
In the Pines is the perfect snapshot of WA music over the past year, but it’s more than simply a day of music.
There will be food trucks and coffee from Chubby Dumpling, El Aleman Loco and Mr Goz as well as drinks from Whitelakes Brewing Co, Shelter Brewing, Blind Corner, Whipper Snapper, Kimberley Rum Company and Margaret River Brewing Co.
In 2026 they welcome back our sensory zone in collaboration with Enable WA supported by new major sponsors The University of Western Australia; a space for neurodivergent punters and those who need a break from the noise to chill out.
The University of Western Australia joins City of Perth as In the Pines’ major sponsors, supporting local, independent and diverse voices in the heart of the City.
With 10 hours of local music in the stunning and serene surrounds of Somerville, In the Pines 2026 is the perfect place to picnic with friends, take in some of Perth’s exceptional musical talent and enjoy the party!
