AMRAP (the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project) is your gateway to hundreds of community radio stations nationwide that champion local and national independent music. In this practical session, you’ll learn how to use amrap.org.au to get your tracks to community radio presenters and about the broader landscape of community radio to amplify your reach and get your music spinning on the airwaves.
Andrew Khedoori:
Andrew Khedoori is the Music Director at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) where he leads projects and partnerships between community radio and the music industry. He manages the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP), which delivers new Australian music to stations nationwide alongside Australian music radio programs. Andrew has designed or co- produced a number of key initiatives, including First Sounds, providing resources and airplay pathways for First Nations artists, On The Road Again (with Creative Victoria), a series of live music events curated by community radio stations across Victoria, and Global Beat: Australia, a radio series co-presented by Andrew that showcased diverse Australian music on influential LA station KCRW. Previously, as Music Director at 2ser in Sydney, Andrew co-created an eclectic programming schedule, supported the development of new shows, and designed live music events and series. More recently, he curated the globally renowned music series Longform Editions.
