With just under three weeks to go until triple j brings some of Australia’s hottest artists to Busselton—including Spacey Jane, LUUDE, Ruby Fields, 3%, Blusher, Velvet Trip,Fool Nelson and a host of special guests—we’re thrilled to announce that the More Than A One Night Stand Sessions are back, and coming to South West WA from Friday 23 – Saturday 24 May.
First launched at One Night Stand 2024 in Warrnambool, the More Than A One Night Stand Sessions are a series of free bespoke industry programs and events designed to empower emerging and established local artists and industry. Through curated chats, workshops, and industry connections, the event will offer attendees the opportunity to learn, meet and hear from some of the best and brightest minds in Australian music.
The 2025 More Than A One Night Stand Sessions will run from Friday 23 May through to Saturday 24 May at the Busselton Youth and Community Activities Building. The curated sessions will feature an In Conversation with WA-icons Spacey Jane, a triple j Unearthed Tapped In Workshop for Regional Artists, and a session on How To Build Off Initial Success with WA locals and One Night Stand alum DICE.
Tapped In: a triple j Unearthed workshop on How To Get The Most Out Of Being A Regional Artist
Hosted by triple j’s Lucy Smith, join One Night Stand triple j Unearthed Competition Winners Fool Nelson alongside local industry heavyweights to talk about how to make the most out of being an artist in a regional or rural area. You’ll hear tips on how to connect with community, team building, touring, and how to get your music heard and maximise the triple j Unearthed experience.

In Conversation with Spacey Jane:
Hear from WA-legends, Spacey Jane, in a sit-down conversation with triple j’s Ash McGregor, looking back at career milestones and their incredible journey to date. The four-piece will offer valuable insight into their journey from regional WA to international recognition, highlighting the challenges they faced, the key moments that propelled them forward, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Many regional artists face unique barriers in accessing opportunities, connections, and pathways in the music industry, Spacey Jane’s story is a great example of what’s possible.

How to Build Off Initial Success with Sam Ford and DICE
Led by Margaret River-based producer and artist manager Sam Ford, alongside a member of DICE, this session will explore strategies for sustaining and expanding success after an initial breakthrough, highlighting key elements essential for growth.
