WAM and Goolugatup Heathcote are excited to announce our next Felix Burrows Artist in Residence, Alec Thomas.
Alec Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist who composes, produces and engineers sound. His prolific contribution to the Australian punk and independent music scene has been impactful both nationally and overseas, with performance and technical credits on at least 30 musical releases and countless shows/tours across his many bands. His unique DIY attitude to music has earned him a reputation as a substantial underground artist, deemed a key figure of the “egg-punk” movement.
We would like to extend a big thank you to the City of Melville, Goolugatup Heathcote, Felix Culpa Fund, the Fremantle Foundation and Felix’s family for allowing us to create this wonderful opportunity, and make it available to artists over the next few years.
