Felix Burrows Music Residency: EOIs now open!

WAM and Goolugatup Heathcote are excited to announce that EOIs are now open for the Felix Burrows Music Residency!

The Felix Burrows Music Residency is two three-month residencies each year that includes a fully equipped studio space at Goolugatup Heathcote, and thanks to the Felix Culpa Fund and the Fremantle Foundation, each residency includes $5,000 for the artist in residence.

The programme is named in recognition and remembrance of Felix Burrows. Felix was a beloved local musician and artist, playing drums in bands such as The Feast of Snakes and Darling Rangers. The Felix Burrows Music Residency forms a fitting tribute to the legacy and creativity of this generous, energetic and widely-loved local artist.

Expressions of Interest from artists and creatives for the next residency period (4 August – 31 October 2025) are now open. Please note the judging panel may make an additional offer before the March to June 2026 residency period in lieu of a further application process in late 2025.

EOI closes May 19 at 9am AWST. The application form is available via the link below!

We would like to extend a big thank you to the City of Melville, Goolugatup Heathcote, Felix Culpa Fund, the Fremantle Foundation and Felix’s family for allowing us to create this wonderful opportunity, and make it available to artists over the next few years.
