AWMA NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN

Nominations for the 2024 Australian Women in Music Awards (AWMA) are now open!

AWMA celebrates and recognises the incredible talent and achievements of women across all areas of the Australian music industry.

Nominations close May 28, nominate today!

APRA AMCOS’S 23% MENTORSHIP APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

Applications for APRA AMCOS’ 23% Mentorship are now open with 14 places available to music creators at a pivotal career stage and who identify as a woman, non-binary or gender-diverse individual. 

The 23% Mentorship is open to all music genres and practices and will match mentee and mentor to align with career stage, goals and priorities. Each successful applicant will also receive $3,000 towards projects, or work-related expenses and/or travel.

ARTS PROJECT FUNDING NOW OPEN

The Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups and the Arts Projects for Organisations grant programs are now open, providing funding between $5000 and $80,000.

The Arts Projects programs aim to continue the development and growth of the WA arts sector, by promoting high quality arts and cultural experiences to actively engage WA communities.

Activities starting from 1 September 2024 can apply for funding support.

Applications for both programs close 4.00pm 30 May 2024.

ARTS SHORT NOTICE ACTIVITY PROGRAM

The Arts Short Notice Activity Program (Arts SNAP) for individuals and groups offers funding for regional, national and international short notice activities for artists and creative industry professionals.

The program supports the growth of a vibrant sector that promotes the participation and active engagement of Western Australian artists and arts workers in high quality arts and cultural opportunities. Grants of up to $5000 for national and regional opportunities, and up to $10,000 for international, are available for individuals and groups.

Applications close 4.00pm 6 June 2024.

RAF QUICK RESPONSE GRANTS

Quick Response Grants assist regional artists, arts organisations and communities to take up professional or skills development opportunities, or respond to small project opportunities that arise at short notice

Monthly rounds February – November. Each round opens the first day of the month and closes the final day of the month.

CREATIVE ARTS FELLOWSHIP

Creative Arts Fellowships offer $10,000 to support writers and artists to spend four weeks at the National Library researching and developing a new artistic concept, artwork or body of work inspired or informed by the collections.

Artists may be working in any medium other than writing. This may include music, dance, visual arts, emerging or experimental artforms.

Applications close Monday May 6, 5pm (AEST)

PERTH FESTIVAL

Perth Festival is calling out to Western Australian artists and creatives to reach out and say hello.

Perth Festival want to connect with people and projects from across WA neighbourhoods near and far.

They are planning for festivals from 2025-2028 and want to hear if you have an idea to share or a story you think needs to be told.

WAM SONG OF THE YEAR AWARDS NIGHT

Pull out your planner and save the date as WAM’s Song of the Year presented by Act Belong Commit awards night returns to Freo.Social, Wednesday June 19, 2024.

Join us for an evening of celebrations as we reveal the 2024 Song of the Year winners!
