DULCIE SUMMER SONGWRITING SESSION

We have a couple of spots left for our Summer Songwriting Session, hosted by 2023 Song of the Year Winners, Dulcie.

Join us for a morning of songwriting inspiration and mentally healthy conversations. March 16, 10am-12pm at Heathcote Reserve.

Entry is free, however spots are incredibly limited so registration is essential!

SAM MCGOVERN SUMMER SONGWRITING SESSION CANCELLED

Unfortunately due to Sam’s personal commitments we have had to cancel our Summer Songwriting Session, planned to take place February 24.

We are currently planning Songwriting Sessions for April, May and June so keep your eyes peeled for those!

SPIT, POLISH AND PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP

Rose and Delilah are back for a songwriting retreat with a twist! This time in Maylands at Lyrics Underground, one of the best rooms to play in Perth. Carve away some time to write and perform your songs…do not miss out on tickets!

When: Sunday March 3, 11.45am-5pm

Tickets: $100 early bird, $120 full price, $150 on the door

LAUNCH IT!

RTRFM has announced a brand new initiative called LAUNCH IT! to help local acts launch their next release with a free sponsorship campaign on the Sound Alternative.

The station is calling on applications from bands and live producers based in WA who have a launch planned between 11 March and 6 May 2024. Acts can apply to LAUNCH IT! for their chance to receive a complimentary sponsorship package on the station worth $750.

Four applicants will be chosen as part of this pilot program. Applications close Monday 26 February.

CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FUND – Western Australian Government

The Contemporary Music Fund (CMF) assists homegrown contemporary music artists with projects that enable them to produce and promote their work, along with building links nationally and internationally.

DEADLINE: 6 June 2024

AMOUNT:

Up to $15,000 for international touring/showcasing opportunities

Up to $10,000 for regional and national touring/showcasing opportunities

Up to $5000 for Professional Development opportunities

CONTEMPORARY MUSIC TOURING PROGRAM – Creative Australia

The Contemporary Music Touring Program (CMTP) supports national touring activity undertaken by Australian musicians performing original Australian contemporary music.

The tour must comprise of performances in at least three venues or locations outside of the performer’s hometown. Tours that include regional and remote destinations, or which assist performers residing in regional and remote areas to tour, are a priority for funding. Grants are available from $5,000 to $50,000, depending on the number of tour venues or locations in regional or remote areas.

ROUND 8 OF THE LIVE MUSIC AUSTRALIA PROGRAM IS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS

This round accepts applications from small to medium live music venues presenting live original Australian music.

Support is available for (but not limited to):

– Infrastructure and equipment upgrades

– Programming and artists fees

– Marketing and promotion

– Professional development

Live Music Australia is an open competitive grants program, designed to bring more professionally-staged live music to Australian communities.

Applications will close on 12 March 2024 at 11.30pm AEDT.
