WAMedia Watch: WA good music news rounded up

12 Mar

A lot happens in two weeks in the local music world, but luckily WAM is here to remind you of a few highlights for local artists doing mint things;

Feature album of the week at Double J this week is Coup De Grâce, from long time indie pop rock stalwarts Red Jezebel. More info at Double J.

Congrats to Morgan Bain, nominated for upcoming Song Of The Year award, who has just been added to the line-up of West Coast Blues and Roots Festival 2015. More info here.

2 years running Best Indigenous Act WAMi Award winning Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse featured in episode five of RTRFM‘s ‘The View from Here’ film series. More info here.

Not an act, but if there’s any truth to what is being said, Fast Eddy’s Morley could be the next big venue, promising not just hamburgers and milkshakes, but a new stage for Perth bands to ply their trade. More info here.

Any big news items of interest, we’d love to hear from you! Please send info to [email protected] for consideration in this section, plus WAM’s weekly local music segment on 720 ABC Drivetime with John McGlue - happening Wednesdays around 4.30pm.
