WAM Member Keshet’s Original Rock Opera is to be played at the Astor Theatre in August!

WAM Member and Perth Artist, Keshet, has teamed up with the professional production company Platinum Entertainment to mount a revival of The Diments Rock Opera.

Known on the local scene as a multi-media producer, Keshet often teams up with local singers to create unique songs and productions. He is the creator of various concept projects, and his music covers Middle Eastern to Blues, Rock, Metal, Funk, Progressive and more. Keshet has worked as a stagehand for some of the world’s biggest acts, multiple studios, and labels, as well as produced songs and clips that have been published internationally.

Check out Keshet’s track ‘Dangerous Road’ featuring Clay Darius, Paula Parore, Marcio Mendes & Banda Ziriguidum. Recorded live in the studio and via a 360 degree capture you get to experience this magical take with the group and choose who to watch!

Keshet initially releasedSquare image The Diments Rock Opera as a concept album in 2015 and immediately started designing the stage show which bridges the gap between musical theatre and rock concert.

The show was praised by Guitar Gods, stating “If Rocky Horror and Jesus Christ Superstar had a baby and had it christened by Hellboy, the live-in nanny was Maleficent, and its grandparents were The Addams Family, the product might be something like The Diments. Loved it.”

It premiered with a sold out run at the Nexus Theatre in 2017, which garnered the attention of Platinum producers Trevor and Katrina Patient.

Platinum Entertainment, the production company that mounted the WA productions of Jesus Christ Superstar and We Will Rock You, were quick to acquire the rights for The Diments and have taken the show to the next level.

The new run will feature an expanded cast, larger dance ensemble, live choir & orchestration as well as brand-new songs created by Keshet.

The Diments will return to the Astor Theatre for three nights only – August 1st, 2nd and 3rd with tickets going on sale May 14th!
