After a month of jackhammering, varnishing and PA tuning, WAM Song of the Year sponsors Cool Perth Nights unveiled the Rosemount Hotel’s completely remodelled live room on Thursday night at the ever-popular annual Easter drum and bass institution Roller.

In March the venue’s lovably eccentric circular bar was demolished after two sell-out shows by Tash Sultana and POND. The venue includes a newly-built bar area, mezzanine viewing platforms, newly created cosy nooks and, perhaps most impressively, gorgeous wooden and iron ceiling beams which have been hidden from view for decades.

Coupled with a recently installed D&B V-series PA system, this expert remodeling is all aimed at improving patron comfort, sight lines and audio quality. The world-class improvements cement Rosemount Hotel’s reputation as Perth’s premier mid-sized live music venue.

Cool Perth Nights director and dual Golden WAMi winner Andrew Ryan, who books and markets the venue, said the venue changes are significant for WA musicians and live music fans. “The room is set to experience a renaissance the likes of which Perth has never seen,” he said. “What excites me most is the the  optimal experience now offered to local, national and international musicians in the Rosemount main room.”
