Songwriting Workshop With Jere Sosa

Songwriting Workshop With Jere Sosa

26 Nov

Events, Workshop

West Australian Music (WAM), in partnership with Healthway and Beaufort St Song Writers Club, invites aspiring song writers and musicians to attend a one off song writing workshop with local musician Jere Sosa at Defectors Bar on  Thursday December 20.

Hailing from Buenos Aires, Jere Sosa arrived in WA in 2014 with a guitar and a head full of rich musical influences. With a musical approach founded on the melodic song writing of The Beatles and the guitar playing finesse of Carlos Santana, he combines punk, jazz and Latin feels in a unique way. Sosa performs live with his band but retains a solid and continuing existence busking as a solo performer, utilising a loop station that he adopted on his travels some years ago.

At this unique workshop Sosa will unravel the mysteries of song writing and discuss how chord progressions and harmony can be used to express feelings. He will also treat participants to an intimate live performance.

The workshop will provide a genuine synergy with Healthway’s Act-Belong-Commit message by giving people the opportunity and skills to improve and maintain positive mental health through the act of being creative and connecting with like-minded people.

The cost of this workshop is $5 payable at the event. For more details about this event, please go HERE.
