Real to Reel

16 Apr

There are four places available for musicians and bands between the ages 12-25 looking to record in the forthcoming edition of Real to Reel! Their pop-up studio will be returning, looking for musicians who have played shows, have some (home) recording experience and would now benefit from working with a sound engineer.

Run by the City of Perth’s youth projects arm Foodchain, the available recording slots will run from 5-6 June and will culminate with the Who’s Up Next showcase by Central TAFE Music Business Students on  7 June at The Hive arts space. Musicians will also have the opportunity to produce a series of press-ready band images with a professional photographer for $200. After they’ve been mixed and mastered, the mp3 recordings will be uploaded to the Real to Reel website and made available for free streaming. Applications close 5pm on Wednesday 13 May 2014.
