Owen Whittle

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Owen is a strong advocate for social justice and spent 12 years in a leadership role at UnionsWA. 
He has a wealth of experience in leading member-driven organisations and achieving transformative results. His extensive background in spearheading successful campaigns on gender equality, workplace safety reforms, and public sector wage policies will now be channelled into supporting and advancing the Western Australian music industry.

Maisie Glen

Relationships & Partnerships Officer

Originally from Menang Boodjar in the Great Southern, Maisie has spent a few decades playing and writing music.

She’s since gained a broad range of experience in arts management, events, and operations and has worked with the Aboriginal Arts Centre Hub of WA, Fringe World, Desert Feet Tour, Folkworld, and Regional Arts WA.

Molly Bjelan

OPERATIONS CO-ORDINATOR

Molly is a 2022 Arts Management graduate from the West Australian Academy of the Performing Arts.
After undertaking an internship with WAM to complete her degree, Molly has now stepped into the role of Operations Coordinator.

Molly’s passion is live music. She has held roles with several live performance venues and music festivals in Perth, creating an avenue for Molly to apply her knowledge and skillset in her work with WAM, and continue her development in the music industry.

Linley McTavish

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

 Linley is a 2022 graduate from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, holding a degree in Arts Management. With a background in marketing and public relations, Linley has a track record of  promoting and organising events. 

Linley’s passion for live music, particularly within the WA music scene, is evident through her active volunteering at numerous music festivals. Additionally, she spends most weekends attending gigs and events. 

Nur Azman

Regional Program Officer

Nur began her journey in the music industry after completing a Music Business course at TAFE, followed by an internship with WAM’s regional team in 2021. An avid live music fan, she started by organising launch shows for local bands at venues across Perth and Fremantle. Since then, she has co-founded Chop Street Music, a Mandurah-based music business dedicated to supporting and growing the live music scene in the Peel region. Over the past four years, Nur has worked as a contractor for WAM, contributing to key events such as WAMCon, The WAMAwards, The Regional Roundtable, Song of the Year and WAMFest. Nur has now joined the WAM team on a casual basis to assist with the delivery of WAM’s Regional Project and Song of the Year 2025.
