WAM SONG OF THE YEAR APPS OPEN
Applications to win WAM Song of the Year are open from now until 25 January 2016. There are 16 categories, each offering winners a cash prize, studio time with WA’s best and more. And if you win a category then you’ll also have the chance to be crowned this year’s Song Of The Year Grand Prize winner, walking away with a huge prize package including: $3,000 cash plus prizes from Albert Studios, Perfect Pitch Publishing, Sonic Lolly, Berklee, Diskbank, Firestarter, Audiofly and more!

APRA AMCOS is currently seeking a candidate for the role of Senior Marketing and Communications Manager based in the Sydney office. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the organisation’s Communications and Events function, working in conjunction with internal stakeholders to develop campaigns that educate and inform our members, licensees, the broader industry and the general public of the role of APRA AMCOS. ROCK SCHOLARS BUSINESS FOR SALE
One of Perth’s leading contemporary music schools, Rock Scholars is up for sale! Catering for students aged 6–18, they offer a range of programs and services, including the Rock Band program, instrumental tuition, recording services, events space, annual camp, music industry workshops and master classes. It would suit a musician, music educators, those working in the local music industry or an entrepreneur who would like capitalise on the potential for immediate expansion. The sale will include transfer of all intellectual property (programs, procedures etc), trademarks, key business relationships, musical equipment, merchandise, sundry equipment, customer databases, online presence, and signage.

SOUND OVERLOAD COMP
The City of Bayswater are looking for people between the ages of 12-25 to participate in the Sound Overload music competition in 2016. The competition is open to solo acts and bands, and the overall winner will receive 3 days of recording time as well as professional photo shoot, while the runner up receives two days of recording time and $500. Applications close Friday 5 February 2016.

XMAS INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION
ISC is reopening submissions for one week only (Dec. 15-22) for its annual Stocking Stuffer, and the fee is a discounted $25 per entry. The winner will receive $1,000, 4,000 Radio Airplay credits, promotion on Radio Airplay’s social media outlets such as Twitter and Facebook, and an artist spotlight feature in their blog and newsletter reaching over 65K members. All entries will also be automatically entered into the ISC 2015 competition.

Vulture Photography is currently scouting for Perth music acts to feature in an up coming photography exhibit designed to promote our local music scene. This is a great opportunity to get some free exposure for your band whilst supporting a local artist.

BUSKING OPPS IN SUBIACO
Would you like to showcase your talents in the Subiaco Town Centre? Why not apply to do some busking!
 This could be a great way to develop your confidence and skills in performance, while earning yourself some extra cash. 

You can easily adapt your busking hours to be flexible and fit around your existing work or study commitments. There is no cost for an application to busk within the City of Subiaco, however all street entertainers must apply for a permit and make sure to remain within the guidelines. CATALYST AUSTRALIAN ARTS AND CULTURE FUND
Catalyst – formerly known as the National Program for Excellence in the Arts – will provide funding of $12 million each year to small, medium and large arts organisations at a national, regional and community level and restores $8 million per year to the Australia Council to primarily support small to medium organisations. Applications are now open to help in funding your Arts organisation.

REGIONAL AND REMOTE TOURING FUND
Applications to the new Regional & Remote Touring Fund (RRTF) are still open, a call for performing arts organisations or artists with a ‘tour ready’ show and can demonstrate support from a minimum of two regional presenters, venues, or communities in regional WA.
