MEMBER NEWS – Rupert Guenther Presents Cosmology

19 Sep

Electric violinist Rupert Guenther takes us on an epic journey in space and time performing his new work Cosmology. Using traditional and extended playing techniques on both acoustic and electric instruments and live electronic looping, Guenther turns the violin into an extraordinary vehicle for art. Evoking an inner sensory journey, from the very origins of time to futuristic visions of the universe.

Formerly a member of the Vienna Chamber Opera (Austria), where he trained as a virtuoso. Guenther has bought his style of electric violin to Australia, UK, Europe, and the USA, ranging from classical to ambient, world music to blues. To add to his impressive career Guenther has released over 27 albums of his own, original music since 2003.
