There’s constantly a heap of sweet new tunes coming out of WA, and LaunchPad is here to fill you in on the latest single, video, EP and album launches from local acts of all genres over the next fortnight, and beyond…
► WAM Best Country Act nominee Belle Harvey launches Something Of Myself at The Basso on Saturday 14 October, with support from The Little Lord Street Band, Rose Parker Trio, Delilah Rose and the Gunslingers and DJ Gidget Duck.
► Alt-country rock five piece The Little Lord Street Band launch their latest single Maybe I’m Just In Love, performing at a heap of shows from Saturday 14 October to 11 November including WAMFest and Beauvine Festival, and supporting the likes of Bell Harvey, Ralway Bell and more.
► The Maudit Tangue underground rock inspired compilation will be launched Friday 20 October at Badlands Bar, including tracks from local artists Rag N’ Bone, Shit Narnia, Thee Loose Hounds and Bells Rapids, who will all be playing on the night, plus more .
► Electronic soulstress Your Girl Pho, post rock, jazz and electronic act Ryan Beno and Target Archery are all releasing new material at a multi launch event at The Rosemount Hotel on Friday 20 October, with support from Soukouss Internationale.
Eccentric post-punk rockers and previous WAMAwards winners Hideous Sun Demon launch their second single Hard Out off their upcoming album
at The Rosemount Saturday 21 October with support from Negro, Destrends, Debbie Downers and Vinnie.
► Perth indie rockers The Reductors have been busy after the success of their single Trouser Press, working on their full debut album, Caboose, launching on Saturday 21 October at The Odd Fellow in Fremantle, supporting acts include Community Chest, Big Orange and Hannah Smillie.
► Winners of the 2017 WAM Country Song of The Year Ralway Bell launch their debut album Dear Friends at the North Perth Town Hall on Saturday 21 October, with support from The Little Lord Street Band and This Way North from Victoria.
► Indie punk band Lionizer launch their album New Parts Of Me at The Burlington Hotel in Bunbury on Friday 27 October, as well as shows at The Boston on Friday 10 November (supported by Being Beta, Sly Withers and Kristie Butler) and Fremantle on Sunday 19 November (details TBA).
► Channeling country as hard as they can is Petticoat Junkyard with the release of their self-titled debut album on Saturday 28 October at the Rosemount Hotel’s 459, supported by Big Orange, Jeff Strong and DJ Bonnie Rock.
► Winners of Best Punk/Hardcore Act WAMAward two years in a row, Scalphunter have their final launch of their debut album Lies at Indi Bar on Saturday 28 October, supported by Ray Finkle and The Damn Spirits.
► Indie surf rockers The Silent Deeds are back with their new single and music video for Sweet September, launching Friday 24 November at the 459 Bar, supported by Moonlighter, Rocket Ship Chaser and Here Comes the Rooster.
