► Neo-soul songstress Shameem is releasing her fourth studio recording Time Does Not Reverse on Friday July 21 at The Ellington Jazz Club with her band featuring: Dom Barrett – guitar, Harry Mitchell – keys, Pete Robinson – bass and Caleb Quartermaine – drums.
► Perth artists Tyler Rivers (Sheldon Yeoman) and I (Innocent Muisha) have joined forces to create the Conflicted EP, launching at Four5Nine Saturday July 22, and joined by guests Hector Morlet and Sao Nam .
► Psychedelic Hip Hop/ Jazz/ Rock group POW! Negro launch their debut EP Jasmine and Licorice Thursday July 27 Prince of Wales Hotel, Bunbury with special guests Western Kinsmen of the Sun , Friday July 28 Clancy’s, Dunsborough with special guests Western Kinsmen of the Sun and Saturday July 29 Rosemount Hotel with special guests The Weapon Is Sound, Grievous Bodily Calm and KNOE.
► On Saturday July 29 Alt Country/Blues Rock band Ralway Bell launch their first single, Caught In The Crossfire from upcoming debut album Dear Friends at Rodney’s Bait n Tackle and will be joined by Billie Rogers.
► Moonlighter are descending on The Rosemount on Saturday August 5 to launch their new hipshaker single Loose Moods with support from Michael Dunstan, Demon Days and Midnight Goon.
► Indie-electronic act Angus Dawson will be releasing his much-awaited debut EP Ellesmere Street Saturday August 5 at Jack Rabbit Slim’s with Riley Pearce, Junokind and a Lilt DJ set.
► Following a sellout launch of EP Fall Into Me, reggae gypsy indie folk rocker Toby Beard is touring from Bunbury to Broome, starting at Clancy’s Fish Pub, Fremantle on Saturday August 5 and finishing at Divers Tavern, Broome October 21 with a heap more dates and venues between, spanning all over WA!
► On Saturday August 5 at The Bird, Women of Music Production Perth (WOMPP) are showcasing some of Perth female electronic music scene and sharing the night with a headlining act by percussionist/producer duo Feels, who will be launching the first single from their debut EP.
► Folk/country acoustic rock artist Tracey Barnett kicks off the release of her new album, Heart Soul Feeling with an intimate concert at Sunday August 6 at Indi Bar in Scarborough joined by Perth percussionist Steve Richter,and WAM 2011 blues/roots song of the year winner Matt Cal.
► Errol H Tout, Mike Gorman and Eliot McCann have teamed up to create Luminous, a new album of innovative, interesting and fun instrumental guitar music launching at Gate One at the Claremont Showgrounds on Saturday August 12 indie-folk group Simone and Girlfunkle and drone pop’ duo Erasers will also be appearing.
► Catch a massive double rock header at Western Kinsmen of the Sun and Spacey Jane‘s Heaven and Still Running double single launch on Friday August 18 at Mojo’s Bar, with supports Demon Days and Solomander.
► On Thursday August 24 at the Guildhall Event Space, North Fremantle, Deb Stitt launches her debut EP Mermaid supported by Bird & Boy and Providence Gospel Choir.
► Catch 4 piece pop punk rockers Why Even Try launch their most recent single More Than at YMCA at Leederville HQ on Friday August 25, with support from Shedhead, Crown Loser and Grey States.
► Alternative rock/horror blues gentlemen Foxton Kings are proud to present a new single titled Mookaite with a music video and limited cassette release. It all happens at Babushka on Friday August 25, with support from MOANA, The Limbs and Jay Wol Johnson and the Humble Bees.
► Perth’s heavy folk-influenced melodic death metal band Claim The Throne deliver their epic fourth full-length album on Wednesday September 13 at Four5Nine. Two new music videos will also be playing on the projector screen, with special guests to be announced.
► Hot on the heels of smashing venues around Australia with The Amity Affliction, Perth metal outfit Make Them Suffer have announced tour dates in support of their brand new album; Worlds Apartworld, and are bringing along American heavy hitters Wage War and Melbourne maniacs Alpha Wolf to the Rosemount Sunday September 24.
