Perth artist recognised by Taylor Swift
Blake Rose, a young singer, songwriter and producer from Perth, found himself in disbelief after his single Lost was given a place in pop royalty Taylor Swift’s personal Apple Music playlist. The song is now at 6 million streams and counting!

WA Artists join huge lineups
We love nothing more than seeing our favourite homegrown heroes hitting the big stage among Australia’s finest talent and it’s no exception to see Slumberjack and Good Doogs join the Yours & Owls lineup as well as Arno Farajo and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets being announced on the lineup for Spilt Milk.

Kevin Parker co-writes with big stars
Our boy from Fremantle is unstoppable right now, and to add to his list of achievements, Mark Ronson just dropped his latest single ‘Find U Again’ featuring Camila Cabello, co-written by Mr Parker himself. The song started as a melody that Parker wrote a couple of years ago!

Representing WA on the charts
WA has once again had some of our best artists featured in the Amrap Metro Charts with The Little Lord Street Band at #2 with ‘Frankie’s Back In Town’, Jamilla at #7 with ‘Bloom’ and Carla Geneve at #7 the following week with ‘Yesterday’s Clothes’.

Heard it through the Grapevine
For the first time this year Eastern-born music festival Grapevine Gathering will travel to WA! Some huge acts will be taking the stage at Swan Valley’s Sandalford Estate, including Two Door Cinema Club, Flight Facilities, Crooked Colours, Mallrat, Touch Sensitive and our very own Arno Faraji!

Eskimo Joe play State of Origin
Legendary Perth band Eskimo Joe were chosen to play at Perth’s inaugural State of Origin match. The lads performed at Optus Stadium on June 23rd.

WA takes on BIGSOUND
The first round of performers for Brisbane’s huge showcase festival, BIGSOUND 2019, have been announced! Among the impressive 76 artists already announced are some incredible WA performers like Butter, Dulcie, Flossy, Reija Lee, Spacey Jane and The Money War with so many more to be revealed!

Huge nomination for Figurehead 
Local legends Figurehead have been nominated for the best Indie/Alternative Rock Song at the prestigious Independent Music Awards – held in New York on June 22nd. To coincide with the nomination the band has also released a video for nominated song ‘Ear To Lend’, filmed by acclaimed local cinematographer Gavin Head and featuring a subversive cameo from another Fremantle icon: the furry critters from the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.
