First Sounds Volume Three | Call Out for Submissions!

12 Jun

With First Sounds Volume Two now bringing another set of amazing First Nations artists to the nation’s attention, it’s time to call out for entries for the next instalment – First Sounds Volume Three!

First Sounds is a unique initiative from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) and First Nations Media Australia (FNMA), bringing new and emerging First Nations music to radio airwaves with a series of music compilations curated by FNMA’s indigiTUBE with a select panel of First Nations individuals.

All artists who submit their music will be included on both the Amrap and indigiTUBE online platforms for community radio airplay. First Sounds is working to further represent First Nations heritage, history and culture in the media space where opportunities are unduly limited. The First Sounds project amplifies Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, celebrating songlines from our country’s traditional owners and in the process contributing to social change across the country.

First Sounds gets First Nations artists heard by established musicians, featured online, promoted to radio stations and reaches new audiences. And it’s free to submit!

If you are a new and emerging First Nations artist, head to the link below to take part.

Submissions close on Tuesday 30 June 2020.
