The Musical Fruit Festival, a celebration of 100% original music in the Peel Region, returns to the Ravenswood Hotel on Saturday December 10th.

Last year’s debut festival attracted over 3,500 people on the day to hear 17 local acts perform over 12 hours across 2 stages.

Bleeding Ear Music’s Dave Feenstra, the event organiser said, “Last year was unbelievable in the number of people who attended and we’re confident we will surpass the record we set.”

Volume 2 of the Musical Fruit album will be launched on the day, featuring original tracks from the Festival performers.

This year will again feature 17 acts across 2 stages from midday at the family friendly event which includes children’s activities, food stalls and more.

This year additional sponsors have come forward to ensure Musical Fruit 2016 is again a success, including the Halls Head Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank.

Mr Feenstra said today, “Musical Fruit is a growing boutique festival day that offers the community an opportunity to see hear the quality of musical talent we have here in a uniquely scenic environment.”

The lineup this year includes The Milkmen, Benny Mayhem, The Fabulous Fyshwick Brothers, Moorditj Brothers, Guthrie Trio, John Read Band and more.

The Musical Fruit Festival is free to attend and commences at noon.
