Essential Guide to today’s FREE #WAMFest Saturday Spectacular w/ choice picks from those in the know!
THESE GUYS KNOW BEST
TheMusic.com.au ► Apart from pulling off a music fan miracle in style by bringing back print with The Music Perth (on the streets now), they’ve also interviewed a ridic large number of the acts playing the fest, to help you pick and choose. Plus hilair answers to boot.
Pilerats ► Honestly, we don’t think we’ve ever seen such a superb rundown of acts to catch at #SatSpec listed in chronological order, with preview tunes to nod to. The tastemakers choices are about as choice as you can get, so pay attention.
RTRFM ► With their epic #CourtyardClub kicking off with a WAM special tonight (FREE ENTRY!), RTRFM have been spinning our #KissMyWAMi CD all this wk as their Feature Album, plus they had a heap of interviews, many of them posted on their website.
Tone Deaf ► With their bossman over to deliver sage advice at #WAMCon, they premiered the #KissMyWAMi CD a few days ago; the perfect taste-tester for the zillions of acts playing this weekend – which you can listen to now!
The West Australian ► A #WAMAwards sponsor, The West announced our research news that the WA music industry finally has a value – almost $1 billion! Dropped perfectly in time for WA’s biggest week to showcase the aural value of this.
triple j ► Whilst not officially a media partner, we’re blessed to have triple j legends Gemma Pike and Dom Alessio over here to speak at #WAMCon. Say hi if you see them checking out bands all over this city the next few days!
Wildergrim ► Responsible for creating all the artwork for #WAMFest this year, we can’t give Adrian from Wildergrim enough props. We’ve pretty much been staring for a few hours a wk in awe of his designs. Hot tip: follow this dude’s work.
