Contemporary Music Grants

13 Mar

Need help getting your music project off the ground? The Department of Culture and the Arts funds WA musicians and music industry professionals through its Creative Industries program (nearly $500,000 in contemporary music grants was awarded last year).

Applications are now open for 2015. Grants are available for a range of activities including touring (nationally or internationally), production, marketing and promotion, festival or event programs, film clips and digital media projects. New and frequent applicants will find the process much simplified with the option to apply online for the first time.  Launched earlier this year, DCA’s new Online Grants portal allows users to draft, submit, and continue to track the progress of their applications from one convenient online location.

If you’ve applied in previous years, note the closing date for round one this year has been brought forward to 9 April. There’s an opportunity to get your application reviewed by a DCA officer (and helpful hints on what you can do to improve it) if you can get your draft in by the review deadline of 31 March.
