Callout for WAM Song of the Year 19/20 Judges
We’re on the look-out for individuals in the know about songwriting, composition and who have a broad knowledge of niche styles and/or multiple genres to join the panel of judges for the 2019/2020 WAM Song of the Year Competition presented by Act-Belong-Commit!
The annual Song of the Year Competition invites musicians and bands of all genres, ages, experience and locations around Western Australia to submit their songs for a chance to win across multiple categories. The competition presents a rare exposure opportunity for WA songwriters to showcase their talents to industry practitioners and fans alike across the country and overseas, with the winners announced at the Awards Night, further showcasing homegrown talent at its best.
All entered songs are anonymously and independently judged by a range of experts from different areas of the music Industry. Judging panels vary for each category to ensure the panel’s individual skill-sets and experience are best suited.
Song of the Year 2019/2020 judging is set to take place between late March 2020 and late May 2020, via WAM’s online platform. All judging except for shortlist judging is voluntary, with all judges receiving complimentary invites to the WAM Song of the Year Awards Party on June 24 2020.
