A Guide to #WAMFest that you won’t find in the program…

6 Nov

Whilst you’ll no doubt know by now just how gosh darn ridiculously large the line-ups are for this year’s four days worth of WAM Festival presented by Alcohol. Think Again, there’s a whole lot more happening than just 166 of WA’s finest acts! Here’s a few of the things to look for that aren’t listed in the program but that’ll make your #WAMFest journey a whole lot more fun.

3 LIVE ACT FACTS YOU MIGHT NOT BE AWARE OF….

► Previous WA Music Awards major winners The Love Junkies are playing the FREE #SundayBest event as a quartet for the very first time at the event that runs 2-10pm this Sunday, with Junkies finishing things off around 7pm at Fremantle Arts Centre!

► One of WA’s most infamous hip hop crews Syllabollix will be laying it down at the free #SatSpeck #BlockParty, but making it even more special is the return of the ever-popular Mr Grevis to the collective. As if they didn’t have enough dope hip hop stars already. Luckily this year we have two stages to fit them all on…

► Does the name Will Stoker ring a bell? Of course it does! But whilst most music buffs know him for his rad music under Will Stoker & The Embers, others may have no idea of this side of his life but instead know him as the reason why The Bachelorette got a lot less interesting. Yep, he was the only interesting dude in the house, so bring your roses to the FREE #SatSpec when he headlines The Bird.

BLOCK PARTY GOODNESS

With an expanded capacity, a furnished area to enjoy and the upgrading to a two stage setup, this year’s FREE #SatSpec #BlockParty is set to be HUGE!! And whilst the WAM Festival 2015 is proudly sponsored by Healthway promoting the Alcohol. Think Again message, please note all licensed venues are still 18+ and serving alcohol, as is the Saturday Spectacular’s Block Party. Just remember to bring your ID, and note that there will also be food trucks to help make sure you stay adequately and impressively fueled.

BUT REMEMBER:

► To stay at low risk of developing alcohol-caused cancer and other diseases, health experts recommend having no more than two standard drinks on any day.
► Tolerating drunken behaviour can have serious consequences.
► Save the drama for the stage. Avoid excess alcohol.

EATS & COFFEE TREATS

For this year’s WAM Festival we have taken the liberty of devising a go-to guide to help keep you adequately fuelled over the four spectacularly fun filled days and nights. Our ultimate recommendations will take care of your very own coffee fix needs plus, fill up on our favourite late-night eaterys across Northbridge from 24hr cuisine to some serious waffle business. Click here to plan your enjoyment!
