Rockingham Song Contest 2024
Now in its second year, the Rockingham Song Contest aims to encourage songwriters and musicians to give it a go – whether you play in your bedroom to the cat or you are an established cover band wanting to take the next step. The aim is to unleash your creativity and to include an original song or three in your playlists.
Trophies, Prizes and Categories:
- Best Original Song recorded into mp3/4 or published on YouTube or Spotify since 1 January 2023 – winner receives $500 plus trophy
- Best Back Catalogue Original Song recorded into mp3/4, 2022 or before – winner receives $250 plus trophy
- Best Music Video – winner receives $250 plus trophy
- Please note: songs that entered in last years comp are not eligible for this years competition
Eligibility:
This competition is open to artists residing in the Federal electorate of Brand, Cities of Kwinana, Rockingham or in the Peel Region. As part of developing a southern music scene separate from Perth, including Rockingham, Mandurah, Ravenswood, Waroona, Boddington etc. Let’s show the world what music creativity we have!
Any entries from the 2023 Song Contest are ineligible
