Winners announced for Fairbridge Festival Quest songwriting competition

The sold-out final of the sixth annual Act-Belong-Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest was held at Clancy’s Fish Pub in Fremantle on Saturday night. Close to 200 people came to support the 12 finalists who were vying for a prize pack that includes playing live on the Backlot stage at the 2017 Fairbridge Festival (21-24 April) in the folk, world and roots music original song-writing competition for young West Australians.


In the 12-15-year-old category:
Song: Performance: JAYDA D’AGOSTINO (Mercedes College) for Stand
Song: Craft: SARA STRAHAN (Georgiana Molloy Anglican School) for Powder and Crystals

In the 16-18-year-old category:
Song: Craft: SATARVO (John Curtin College of the Arts) for Father
Song: Performance: SIOBHAN COTCHIN (Perth College) for Overthinking

The four winners will be playing live on the Backlot stage at 12:15pm on Saturday 22 April.
