Song of the Year 2022 presented by Act Belong Commit is offering the opportunity to have your song evaluated and personalised feedback provided by a professional through our song evaluation option included in the application.

You can select from our three evaluators, Anna Laverty (engineer/producer Amanda Palmer, Courtney Barnett, Dallas Woods and many more), Tenille Elkins (APRA AMCOS/North Metro TAFE), Rob Agostini (Soundbaker Studios, credits include Dido, Ronan Keating, Tim & Jean and more) AND. An additional fee applies for evaluation and will be added to your Song of the Year application payment.

ANNA LAVERTY
Producer/Mixer/Engineer

Boasting credits on projects by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Courtney Barnett, Paul Dempsey and Florence and The Machine, Producer, Mixer and Engineer Anna Laverty has established herself as one of Australia’s finest young talents.

Under the tutelage of Award winning producers Paul Epworth (Adele, Primal Scream, Foster The People) and Ben Hillier (Blur, U2, Elbow), Anna honed her production and engineering skills working on releases by Bloc Party, Florence and The Machine and seminal English New Wave band Depeche Mode, amongst others, at London’s famed Miloco Studios. Since her return to Australia, Anna has been behind the desk, working with some of the most beloved acts in Australia and abroad, including: The Peep Tempel, Something For Kate, Eagle and the Worm, TinPan Orange, Cut Copy, Meg Mac, Lady GaGa, New Gods and Jae Laffer.

TENILLE ELKINS
APRA AMCOS/North Metropolitan Tafe

Tenille Elkins is an active songwriter, Lecturer and WA Senior Writer Services Representative at APRA AMCOS. Tenille has over 16 years experience working at APRA AMCOS, and sharing her Industry knowledge for over 10 years as a Lecturer in Music Industries at North Metropolitan TAFE.

ROB AGOSTINI
Producer/Mixer/Engineer

Rob Agostini is a producer, songwriter and the owner of Perth-based company, Soundbaker Studios, which offers professional recording, production and mixing solutions for bands, singer-songwriters, game developers, film and advertising companies, and record labels around the globe.

Rob’s approach to recording and production is unique and his expertise centres around working closely with lyricists, songwriters and bands who require a ‘producer’s ear’ to be applied to their material whilst getting the absolute best out of every project – on time and to a budget. At Soundbaker Studios, Rob enjoys working over numerous musical genres and his credits include many globally and nationally renowned artists such as Dido, Ronan Keating, Cahoots, Maude, Tim & Jean, Sun Rai, Mike Dignam, Jaz Dhami, Nikhita Gandhi, The Panics & Richard Judge and many others.
