KISS MY CAMERA COMPETITION 2017

As part of the 2017 WAMFest presented by Drug Aware, WA’s fave music photography competition Kiss My Camera returns. Free to enter, the comp showcases and rewards photographers of all levels – including accepting entries taken by phone, meaning really everyone can be a part of the snapction!

WAM are teaming up with the Perth Cultural Centre Screen and Northbridge Piazza Screen, to present an exhibition that will see shortlisted photographs of only WA acts – both live and press shots – taken in WA by amateur and professional photographers from WA. The contestants will be played on both big screens, with tens of thousands being impressed by selected photos over a number of weeks.

In addition to helping WA photographers being exposed to a much wider audiences and industry heavyweights, there are also a stack of prizes for the winners. This year we have three categories that a photographer can enter: “Best Live Photograph”, “Best Portrait/Press Shot” and for the first time “Best Phone Snap.

BEST LIVE PHOTOGRAPH and BEST PRESS SHOT WINNERS EACH RECEIVE:

  • 8 hours studio time at Chris Huzzard Studios, worth up to $1,100 (including use of different rooms, cycloramas, backgrounds, and lighting equipment and advice).
  • 2x $100 E vouchers for Leederville Cameras, that can be printed out and used instore or online.
