WAM is honoured to be continuing their partnership with Healthway to promote and integrate the Act-Belong-Commit message across WAMFest 2019. Increasing awareness and developing strategies to maintain good mental health are vital to a flourishing music community, with the A-B-C guidelines providing a simple approach we can all adopt in our every-day lives. WAM is excited to present an opportunity for Artists, music fans and the broader public to actively engage with this message during WAMFest 2019, by performing and attending showcases, connecting with the community around us, and celebrating music in a shared and meaningful way.

Offering a smorgasbord of genres from indie rock to hip hop, metal to electronic; WAMFest not only provides a huge array of music for all tastes but will also be presenting four all-ages stages as part of the extensive Saturday programming. WAMFest is truly offering a celebration of West Australian music that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and all tastes.

Featuring music in adored Perth live music venues and spaces The Sewing Room, Amplifier, Capitol, Holmes & Co, Wesley Church, Lucy’s Love Shack and Cheeky Sparrow, and Northbridge centred venues The Bird, Nevermind Smallclub, Jack Rabbit Slims, Badlands, Hen House Live, James Street Bar and The Boston. Meanwhile Perth Cultural Centre, State Theatre Courtyard, Yagan Square and Northbridge Piazza will play home to outdoor and all-ages stages providing a space for all members of the community.

In addition to the 2-day Perth City & Northbridge event, 2019 also sees WAM partner with Forrest Chase to launch the 2019 WAMFest celebrations on Friday 11th October at Forrest Live, and team up with City of Stirling to present the all-ages, all-day Scarbs Beach Party with stages at Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre, El Grotto, Livid Skate Cafe and Indian Ocean Hotel.
