After months of planning and preparation, WAM are excited to announce the details of WAMFest presented by Act-Belong-Commit and WAMCon 2019!

One of the world’s largest celebrations of local original music, WAMFEST, returns on Friday November 1 – Saturday November 2 for another multi-day feast of non-stop original live music across Perth and Northbridge. Spanning across two dates, the free-entry festival features a carefully curated line-up of Western Australia’s most exciting, diverse and progressive contemporary original musicians. Showcasing out of venues and outdoor stages in the city hub and Northbridge, the two-day event invites the public and industry representatives to explore, discover and celebrate the talent born from our West Australian home.

WAMFest is proud to be working alongside city hub venues The Sewing Room, Amplifier Capitol, Holmes & Co, Wesley Church, Lucy’s Love Shack and Cheeky Sparrow, and Northbridge centred venues The Bird, Nevermind Smallclub, Jack Rabbit Slims, Badlands, Hen House Live, James Street Bar and The Boston. Perth Cultural Centre, State Theatre Courtyard and Northbridge Piazza will play home to outdoor and all-ages stages providing a space for all members of the community.

This year sees a celebration of the many voices contributing to West Australian music, including team-ups with youth and community focused organisations WAM New Noise Collective, music school Rock Scholars, SAE Institute plus hardrock, metal and blues specialist The Rock Pit and underground music promoter and supporter, Alt.

The initial line-up announcement includes Perth heavyweights Ruby Boots, Abbe May, Daybreak, Demon Days, Dulcie, Grace Barbe and Downsyde alongside over 80 other acts. With a focus on showcasing the array of genres that create WA’s thriving music sector, this year’s event features the best of indie rock, hip-hop, country, blues, pop, jazz and more… there truly is something to match everyone’s musical tastes.
