A lot happens in two weeks in the local music world, but luckily WAM is here to remind you of a few highlights for WA artists doing mint things;

WA Music Awards winners Jacob Diamond and Joni In The Moon get included into the triple j Unearthed Jukebox. More info here.

WAM Festival performers Bernadine and Bri Clark make the top 10 in the AMRAP Regional and Metro Charts. More info here.

Close To Nowhere is a new television series to be hosted by Kav Temperley of Eskimo Joe fame, seeing Kav journeying across the country and exposing a wealth of raw talent in Australia’s underground music scene – but it requires the help of music lovers like you to fund it! More info here.

In addition to winning a spot playing at Southbound 2016, WAM Festival performers Verge Collection are also one of this week’s feature artists of triple j Unearthed. More info here.

Talented songbird on the quick rise, Sydnee Carter has been announced as a finalist in this year’s Telstra Road to Discovery competition, and you can find out more about her journey in a video here.

Any big news items of interest, we’d love to hear from you! Please send info to [email protected] for consideration in this section, plus WAM’s weekly local music segment on 720 ABC Drivetime with Jamie Burnett – happening Wednesdays around 4.30pm
