WAMCon adds 30+ speakers, with biggest ever line-up!

14 Oct

Adding to an already epic line-up of speakers for WAMCon 2016 which saw record numbers of earlybird tickets sold, we’re pleased to announce 34 new names (listed below), completing this year’s ultimate music conference program and making for the biggest contingent of national and international speakers in its history.

6 international, 39 national and 26 local industry experts will now take part (totalling 71 + speakers), bringing you solid gold advice across 14 panels and what’s set to be a fascinating keynote from WA’s own prodigal son, Gareth Liddiard (The Drones). As part of WAMFest presented by Drug Aware, this year’s WAMCon happens at the State Theatre Centre Of WA (thanks to Perth Theatre Trust) over a knowledge-packed and fun-filled two days, Friday 4 to Saturday 5 November.

Festival bookers Ryan Zhang (Sound Of The Xity/Modernsky Entertainment – Beijing, China) and Aaron Girgis (Sounds Of The Suburbs – NSW) join label manager extraordinaire Timothy Janes (Caroline Australia – VIC), radio plugger and publicist John Zucco (The Right Profile – NSW), DIY radio distribution expert Brooke Olsen (Amrap Airit- NSW), new media mogul Nicholas Jones (Tone Deaf – VIC), and radio reps Blake Williams (Mix 94.5), Caitlin Nienaber (RTRFM) and Will Backler (RTRFM), plus many others providing you with advice to boost your music career to the next level!

Combined with the WAMCon 1-on-1 speed date and radio pitching opportunities; QuayNote boat cruise (now available via a ballot, with details below); free entry to all WAM Friday and Parlour Sunday Best Showcases (subject to capacity); and free Friday lunch at WAMCon Salad Days presented by the State Library of WA; this year’s WAMCon pass offers you unprecedented value and endless good times! Let’s be totally honest here, with how cheaply tickets are priced, you’d be silly not to take advantage of it all…
