WAM Song of the Year entries closing soon!

Calling all WA songwriters, it’s your last chance to enter this years Song Of The Year competition presented by Act Belong Commit, with entries closing Monday the 13th of March at 5pm.

Song Of The Year works to embrace all genres, ages and levels of contemporary music by inviting West Australian songwriters, musicians and bands to submit their songs for a chance to win amongst 17 categories, including; Act Belong Commit, Blues & Roots, Country, Electronic, Experimental, Folk, Global, Heavy/Metal, Hip Hop/New R&B, Jazz, Pop, Punk/Hardcore, Rock, Outstanding Regional, Outstanding Indigenous, Schools & Under 14 and Schools & 15-18.  All winners will be celebrated at the WAM Song of the Year Awards Night and will receive a share of $40,000 worth of prizes including recording time, industry and cash prizes.

This year’s competition sees an incredible set of prizes on offer to support winners in their future music endeavours. Entrants also have the opportunity to receive personalised feedback on their songs from leading music minds Esti Zilber (Creative Producer at Sounds Australia), Tenille Elkins (APRA AMCOS, North Metro TAFE) or Clive Hodson (Director at Perfect Pitch Publishing). 

GRAND PRIZE:

• $3,000 cash
• Performance opportunity with Zaccaria Concerts
• A mixing and mastering package courtesy of Studio 301 Sydney
• An on-air and online promotional package from RTRFM
• A four-week online campaign from X-Press featuring 4 x EDM banners, branded website banners and skins, plus a sponsored post
