WAM Song Of The Year Awards Party date, venue & more

With over 360 acts entering this year’s competition and over 9% more song entries than last year, independent expert judges are currently hard at work assessing WAM Song Of The Year entries. With that, here’s your heads-up to lock into your schedule one heck of a party to celebrate WA’s best songwriters across all genres. Saturday 9 April will see the WAM Song Of The Year Awards Party returning to last year’s home of festivities; B Shed warehouse in Fremantle, on the harbour. The good vibes will be heightened with food gob-smacking food, live performances from some of WA’s finest, special guest hosts and a few surprises…

With some of the highest profile industry experts ever assembled to assess WAM Song Of The Year entries, judges this year come from all over the world, with the third and final round of judges seeing the addition of triple j’s Nick Findlay and Dom Alessio, Alexis Courtin of Parenthesis Records, Michael Szumowski of Alberts and Double J representatives Dorothy Markek and Jacinta Parsons. They’ll join an epic list of judges, as found here.
