OSCILLATIONS offer WAM Members a 30% Discount to its upcoming event

“Oscillations are variations in time – the term vibration is often used and they occur not only in physical systems but also biological systems and human society”.

Perth-based producer and avid yogi Drew Mayhills (performing simply under Mayhills) is thrilled to join forces with YOGALAB for OSCILLATIONS: a live musical performance that promises to further elevate an electrifying vinyasa class led by Shawn Taylor.

Allow yourself to sink into some seriously deep vibrations and experience the pure joy of movement set to a live sonic canvas. On his forthcoming EP, ‘Neon Zen’, Mayhills beckons adventurous listeners of electronica to join him on an introspective journey.

A discussion of the role yoga has played in the development of Drew’s own creativity will follow a powerful vinyasa sequence. Yogis will have the opportunity to get hands-on with Ableton Live and Push 2 and hear some brand new music ahead of official release!

DATE: Friday May 17
TIME: 6.30 – 7.45pm (Workshop at 8pm)
COST: $39 (Non Members), $27.30 (WAM Members)

– An immersive 75 minute music/yoga exeprience

As one of a select few Ableton Certified Trainers across the country, when Mayhills isn’t making dark, emotive electronica, he teaches a diverse range of students how to create and produce music with Ableton Live in his hometown Perth.

YOGALAB director Shawn Taylor has always pushed the limits of what’s possible between yoga and music. His passion is creating multidimensional experiences of of audio and asana which have been complimentary practices for 5000 years. He has collaborated with artists all over the world at festivals and studios to share this universal love.
