WAM launches Sound Check Series: Webinars to Support the WA Music Community

7 Apr

WAM is proud to present its brand new initiative, Sound Check; a series of free weekly webinars aimed at providing practical support for members of the WA music community during the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

The Sound Check Series is designed to provide a free, safe, and interactive way for the community to voice their questions and receive informed advice from an Industry expert, whilst also engaging with one another. The series will be covering a range of topics, from business accounting to mental health, with additional topics introduced as the webinar series continues.

Each session, participants will join an expert for a one-hour discussion moderated by WAM’s Audience Development Officer, Em Burrows, or a select special guest. Each webinar includes the opportunity to ask questions and ‘check-in’ with others who may be experiencing similar struggles at this time.

WAM’s Sound Check series is free for all to join, and participants can elect to take part in one, or all of the webinars depending on their interest and availability. The webinars will take place via a private stream, so participants can enrol via the Sound Check Series page on our website.

Sound Check Insta SquareThe series will be kicking off next Wednesday 15 April with Sound Check for Sole Traders with Kylie Thompson of Sorrento Strategic Accounting. Kylie will be discussing and answering questions regarding the options provided for Sole Traders in the three COVID-19 Stimulus packages announced by the Federal Government.
