WAM Festival 2015 welcomes WAMazing partners
We are pleased to partner with Healthway to promote the all-important health message Alcohol. Think Again, and to help people of all ages understand the risks associated with drinking above the recommended guidelines which tell us that in order to stay at low risk of alcohol-related diseases we should have no more than two standard drinks on any day. The Alcohol. Think Again campaign is implemented by the Mental Health Commission.
We also appreciate the huge support from the City of Perth who has been a proud sponsor of WAM since 2001. “The City of Perth has this year invested $40,000 to helpfund WAM Festival’s Saturday Spectacular, Friday Showcases and WA Music Awards,” commented Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi. “We are committed to partnering with organisations such as WAM to provide quality arts and cultural experiences for the people of Perth, along with activating city spaces to accommodate live music.”
With the support from City of Fremantle, WAM Festival also makes its long-awaited return to Fremantle for the debut of the free Sunday Best extravaganza at the Fremantle Arts Centre and The Newport. “The City of Fremantle is proud to be working with WAM and welcomes to Fremantle the Sunday Best event for 2015’s WAM Festival. Fremantle is a vibrant musical hub and supports the emergence of new artists, the acknowledgment of established artists and the work WAM does in the local and national industry,” said Brad Pettitt, Mayor of Fremantle.
WAM would like to thank major presenting partner Lotterywest as well for their support of this year’s Festival.
