WAM Festival 2014 reveals new Coordinator and Opportunities

14 Aug

The WAM Festival is only a few months away now, so there’s no better time to introduce WAM’s 2014 Festival Coordinator, Greg Sanders.

“Without being able to give too much away yet, West Australian Music’s been working on some extremely exciting events to bring West Australian music lovers for the WAM Festival this year. Continuing to evolve, the 2014 fest will pack more of a focused local music punch than ever before, with the Music Conference stacked with vital industry networking opportunities and big name keynotes, and some amazing, unique live performance opportunities for the best artists in WA – both established and upcoming. I’m extremely happy to be working with the WAM team and can’t wait to roll out the program over the next couple of months!”

Now, it’s time to take advantage of the new opportunities the WAM Festival will present, but you’ll have to hurry as the submission dates below are soon. VERY soon…

The 2014 WAM Festival will provide WA artists with a range of unique opportunities to showcase their recordings and live performances to the rest of the nation from November 6-8, including greater industry-heavy focused opportunities than ever before.

If you would like your act to be considered for inclusion in this year’s fest, please complete and submit the simple Artist Submission Form found here by close of business on Friday 22 August.

Conveniently, this form also allows you to offer songs and videos released in the last year for consideration to be included in the Kiss My WAMi CD, WA’s prime showcasing opportunity for recorded works. And all just with a couple of clicks.

Any festival related queries can be directed to the Festival Coordinator at [email protected].

If you consider yourself to be a contributing member of the West Australian music industry and want your voice to be heard during the 2014 WAM Award voting process, we want to hear from you!

Members from all sectors of the original music community (eg artists, managers, media, promoters, label reps, photographers etc) are encouraged to submit their details for inclusion in our database.

Simply send an email to the Festival Coordinator [email protected] with a brief description of what you do. If you are particularly knowledgeable in any genres, please also let us know as there will be both a general Music Industry Judging Pool and a number of specific Music Industry Judging Panels.

Keep it locked on WAMplifier as we look forward to revealing more details for the WAM Festival in the not too distant future.
