WAAPA Vocal Workshop 1200x800

WAAPA Contemporary Vocal Performance Workshops

8 Jun

Whether you are a beginner or a professional, there is a WAAPA short course for you. Taught by industry experts, these weekend, weeknight and school holiday workshops offer practical tuition in the areas of acting, screen performance, instrumentation, singing, dancing and music theatre. WAAPA’s Explore Short Courses are a great way to get a taste of what WAAPA has to offer, allowing you to fine tune your skills or learn some new ones. The courses are run all year round, and are aimed at everyone from school students to young adults to professionals.

The Contemporary Vocal Performance Workshop develops performance techniques in contemporary vocal styles including pop, jazz, rock and R&B. Over six weeks, this course will cover lyric interpretation, dealing with nerves, movement and finding your own personal style on stage. Vocalists will be given the opportunity to perform and video their performances and receive direction from WAAPA Lecturer Sue Kingham.
