WA Music Week is a state-wide celebration of original, contemporary WA music.

The inaugural WA Music Week took place over 10 days in March 2021 thanks to funding from Premier Mark McGowan and the State Government of WA, and ongoing support from WAM’s presenting partner Act Belong Commit. The initiative was established to connect the industry with audiences and inject vital funding directly to artists, industry practitioners and businesses across the WA music sector.

Featuring over 70 live music and industry development across metropolitan and regional WA, WA Music Week featured WAM’s flagship events WAMFest presented by Act Belong Commit, WAMCon and the WAMAwards, plus additional live music events Hear & Now, funded Music Everywhere shows and the Snapshot photography exhibition.

WAM facilitated the distribution of grants to WA venues, promoters and labels to hold a live music event featuring local artists throughout WA Music Week. This formed the Music Everywhere program which saw over 55 funded live shows take place across the 10-day celebration.
