WA Music Month is a month long celebration of original, contemporary WA music.

The inaugural WA Music Week took place over 10 days in March 2021 thanks to funding from Premier Mark McGowan and the State Government of WA, and ongoing support from WAM’s presenting partner Act Belong Commit. The initiative was established to connect the industry with audiences and inject vital funding directly to artists, industry practitioners and businesses across the WA music sector.

In 2022, the event grows into WA Music Month, with music events happening throughout the month of November. The program gives the WA public more opportunities to see, hear and enjoy great local talents at a variety of events in a range of different locations.

WA Music Month features WAM’s flagship events:

  • WAMFest presented by Act Belong Commit and proudly supported by the City of Perth
  • WAMCon
  • WA Music Awards and Scarbs Beach Party, both presented by the City of Stirling, and
  • Snapshot music photography exhibition.

Expressions of interest to perform at a WAMFest showcase are now open; register here before September 30.

Stay tuned for program announcements soon!
