Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition: Applications extended

Applications are NOW OPEN for the worlds most prestigious charity songwriting competition which to date has raised over $485,000 for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia (NRMTA). With help from APRA AMCOS, Alberts and NRMTA this years winner of the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition will take home $50,000. Prizes of $2,000, $5,000 and $10,000 will also be on offer for three lucky runner ups.

Past winners include Megan Washington in 2009, Kimbra in 2011 and The Preatures(pictured) who took home last years prize. Entrants will need to provide a valid band photo along with at least one mp3 track of their music. Each submission will cost $50 and goes directly toward supporting Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia.

Update: Applications have been extended for a further four weeks and will now close on Friday 24 October.
