WAM’s championing of WA music relies strongly on an intern program, and many of the best interns have come from North Metro Tafe, their students reflecting that the courses are highly effective in giving them the right skills and knowledge to enter the workplace in style! Enrolments are now open for North Metropolitan TAFE’s Diploma of Music Business, with the course commencing in February 2017.

You’ll learn combined music and business skills and and get hands on experience in event promotion, artist management, running a record label and music publishing.

Since 1996 the college’s music graduates have gone on to form bands such as Birds of Tokyo and work with bands such as Gyroscope, Karnivool and Eskimo Joe all under the guidance of our industry experienced lecturers. Careers in technical/sound production are available in Western Australia, interstate and overseas.

Your Diploma of Music Business prepares you for roles such as:
– Artist manager
– Music project manager
– Tour administrator
– Music licensing manager
– Music marketing manager
– Artist & repertoire liaison
– Distribution administrator
