More about About Us:

Ellen Oosterbaan

Communications Officer

Ellen has been an active and passionate member of the local music community for over a decade, identifying her professional interest in the Industry shortly after joining her first musical project at a young age.

Whilst completing her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Arts at the University of Western Australia, Ellen undertook work in on-site event and tour management, programming for local music venues and volunteering for RTR FM and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Ellen’s most recent role as Operations & Communications Manager at Cool Perth Nights enabled her to expand her knowledge of the National and International Industry landscape, gaining experience in both niche and large scale event operations and promotions.

Ellen continues to play a role in the live music scene with her current band, Oosterbanger. She takes a keen interest in progressing gender and cultural diversity with the music Industry, playing an active role in the Girls Rock! WA Program and mentorships.

As the Communications Manager at WAM, Ellen works closely with the team to ensure WAM initiatives, opportunities and news are shared with metro and regional WA communities.
