SOTA Festival playtimes released and more

22 May

After recently announcing additions to the line up, there are now over 60 amazing WA artists to catch at SOTA 2015. With so much talent on offer and not long to go, the playtimes have been released so you can plan your day down to the minute. So, get those red pens out and start circling!

In case you missed it, SOTA has gotten even bigger with the addition of over 35 WA artists to two FREE stages. The PICA Stage and the Wetlands Stage will boast an incredible line up of WA talent, encouraging families and music enthusiasts to sit back, relax and enjoy these free performances. Each paid stage will have an all-ages section as well as an 18+ area, so everyone’s a winner. And despite the weather looking perfect, every ticketed stage is covered with marquees, there will be heaters throughout the venues, and the Museum stage is an amazing clear marquee so you can enjoy the weather regardless of what it’s doing!

New to 2015, is WA Street Food Lane perfect for when you start to feel peckish. You can choose from a range of food vendors offering a diverse selection of international cuisine, made using WA ingredients. You’ll be able to feast your eyes and tastebuds on delicious morsels from Comida Do Sol, Grilled To The Mac, Guru Bites, Jumplings, Rancho Sombrero, Saigon Soul Food, The Merrywell, Chico Gelato and What The Flip!

If you’ve not already entered our amazing competition, here’s a refresher. Thanks to Etihad Airways, you could win two return economy flights to London, plus VIP camping tickets to Bestival, featuring WA’s own Tame Impala and Pond! All you need to do is purchase a ticket to SOTA and answer a few simple questions. The competition is open now and will close on Friday 29 May at 11.59pm WST. Terms and conditions apply and are available at www.sotafest.com.au.

This year’s line up has been designed to offer something for everyone, spanning eras and genres, from emerging to nostalgic artists. SOTA is a celebration of WA born, WA bred and WA based artists; it’s a unique opportunity to check out our best local talent at the one festival and at one great price.

For a ticket price of $55 + BF, attendees will be given access to the WA Museum Grounds Stage, the Urban Orchard Stage and the State Theatre Centre of WA’s Courtyard Stage. SOTA will also feature acoustic performances, multiple licensed areas and WA street food.

The festival is proudly presented by Celebrate WA, in association with WAM, and builds on the success of the 2014 event.
