Song Of The Year entries extended & judges announced
We get it – it’s Christmas time and everyone’s busy rockin’ the festive season, so we’ve extended the Song Of The Year deadline to this Friday midday to better capture music from some of WA’s best unknown, upcoming and more established artists.
A reminder also that your song doesn’t need to be professionally recorded – it can be an unreleased song or demo that you’re hoping to have professionally recorded. As long as it’s a great song then it’s in with a chance to win over $40,000+ worth of prizes, including $11,000 cash!
Covering punk/hardcore to jazz, 14 year olds and under to indigenous, electronic to pop and beyond, each of the 16 Category Prize winners take away $500 and studio time with WA’s best and more, plus the Grand Prize is nothing short of gigantic, making entering essential for any act wanting to launch their career to the next level. Check out the full prize list HERE, and of course there’s all the free promotion that nominees get as well!
Also the full list of judges will be announced soon, though we can confirm the following industry legends are locked in and ready to listen to your tunes: ARIA-award winning Dave Hole, Gyroscope and the Hen House’s Rob Nassif, Perfect Pitch Publishing’s Clive Hodson, Dew Process’ John Mullen, NYC Jazz Records Magazine’s Laurence Donohue-Greene, 4ZZZ’s Chris Cobcroft, RTRFM’s General Manager Jason Cleary, The Music Perth’s Editor Daniel Cribb, X-Press Magazine’s Editor Bob Gordon, Australian Institute of Country Music’s Geoff Walden, multiple Golden WAMi Award winner Luke Rinaldi, punk rock PR legend Chris Maric and more.
