PICA calls for project participants

11 Feb

THE PREVENTION Performance project at PICA calls for artists working in the fields of dance, performance, theatre, music and education. Australian/Austrian artists Bello Benischauer & Elisabeth M Eitelberger invite three to eight participants of multi-lingual background to work with them during their residency at PICA from February 16 to April 8 2015.

A Temporary Ensemble will develop a performative process to locate, express and place forms of modern identity in the public and studio space. With their international projects and commissions the artists have focused on transcultural issues in different environments for many years. They act strongly against racism, while instead initiate positive synergies between people and audiences. Their PICA residency will bring them together with the Perth/WA community before heading off to Europe once again.
