WAM’s Song Of The Year competition is one of Australia’s most prestigious songwriting competitions, recognising and awarding songwriting talent across this big state. Around 16 categories opening in December, attracting entries from a diverse range of songwriters, from school-aged to regional and indigenous entrants, as well as covering all different musical genres. Our broad pool of industry judges come from right across the world, who formulate a list of nominees and determine each eventual category winner. In April 2016, we will celebrate the finalists and winners of each category at a gala awards event, featuring performances from some of WA’s finest artists.
